  • Atlantic Canada Tower Inspections – Eastlink

    Inspections of 17 Eastlink sites were completed in 2019 and 2020 with our partner Vertical Specialties (VSI). Inspections were completed to the latest requirements of CSA S37, and photos were recorded for the condition of the structures. Tower bolts were checked for proper torque, and vibration and fatigue testing was completed.

  • Cape Vine VHF Tower Guy Wire Tests – Department of Fisheries and Oceans

    In 2020, Tiller was tasked to complete. Non-destructive magnetic flux testing on all guy wires on the VHF tower at Robin Hood Bay with engineering reports. Tiller used robotic guy wire testing equipment to analyze guy wires and helped provide results of a full tower analysis to determine the existing guy utilization and reserve. 

  • Design Installation of Remote Met Towers Across Coastal Labrador

    Tiller was tasked with design and project management support for the installation of remote meteorological towers across coastal Labrador in Cartwright, Sand Hill, White Hill, and Charlottown. The installation of these towers were conducted by means of helicopter, as no access roads were available.

  • Transmission Tower Engineered Lifts for Voltage Power

    In 2022, Tiller Engineering was tasked with the engineering of transmission tower lifts for Voltage Power.

  • Transmission Tower Inspections of 100 Nalcor Sites

    Lower Churchill Project (Nalcor) retained the Tiller to perform transmission tower structural inspections of over 100 sites across Labrador.

  • Environment Canada Radar Towers

    Tiller Engineering worked closely with Environment Canada and Vertical Specialties Inc. (VSI) to perform scheduled aerial inspections and nationwide maintenance on 27 radar towers!
