Lower Churchill Project (Nalcor) retained the Tiller to perform transmission tower structural inspections of over 100 sites across Labrador. These inspections included site ground and climbing inspection; visual inspection of structure and connections including bolt torque, an inspection of tower infrastructures; tower verticality and twist, foundations, guy tensions (as required) and conformance with installation drawings.
Inspection services included a visual aerial and ground-based inspection of the structure and its related components to observe deficiencies and determine general compliance of the towers to project and industry standards. Comprehensive engineering reports were created for each structure outlining structural inspection criteria and recommendations.
